🇬🇧 AANSU – UK Chapter | Secretaries & Directors Meeting Update 📝
👉 AANSU – 🇬🇧 UK Chapter successfully held its second meeting under the leadership of President Sarkar Islam (Shimul), attended by Executive Committee Secretary Mohammad Shafy, along with other Secretaries and Directors.
📌 The meeting focused on strengthening teamwork, improving coordination, and aligning responsibilities with the four strategic pillars: CONNECT, ENGAGE, SUPPORT, and PARTNER, with the shared goal of growing membership and building a strong, active, and supportive NSU alumni community across the UK 🇬🇧.
✅ 1. Team Structure and Rotation
Organise activities into four teams, assign responsibilities based on members’ skills, and review team assignments every six months to encourage equal participation and leadership development.
✅ 2. Leadership and Coordination
Senior leaders will guide the teams, coordinate activities, and oversee key areas such as website management, communications, and event organisation.
✅ 3. Meetings and Communication
Hold weekly team meetings and monthly Executive Committee meetings. Share meeting schedules, agendas, and summaries in advance to ensure effective communication.
✅ 4. Membership Applications and Growth
Process pending membership applications and aim to increase membership from approximately 50 to 1,000 alumni within six months.
✅ 5. Programmes and Events
Organise three programmes, begin planning the flagship event for next year, and develop a structured 100-day action plan for upcoming activities.
✅ 6. Career Support and Mentoring
Support recent graduates and alumni through professional networking, career guidance, mentoring, webinars, and connections with experienced professionals.
✅ 7. Alumni Achievements and Publications
Highlight one alumnus or alumna each month, sharing their career journeys and achievements through Facebook, LinkedIn, and the official website.
✅ 8. Collaboration with Advisers and Vice Presidents
Work closely with advisers and Vice Presidents, benefit from their experience, and encourage members to contribute ideas and suggestions.
✅ 9. Teamwork and Participation
Encourage everyone to communicate effectively, attend meetings, fulfil assigned responsibilities, and support other teams when needed.

To build a strong, connected, active, and inclusive NSU alumni community across the UK 🇬🇧 through collaboration, professional development, meaningful events, and lasting partnerships.
