AANSU UK MOVES FORWARD WITH NEW EXECUTIVE STRUCTURE
A meeting with the prospective AANSU United Kingdom (UK) Executive Committee members was held yesterday under the leadership of Sarkar Islam (Shimul), President, AANSU UK, together with Sabreena Sadek, Head of Global Chapters & Country Coordination from the AANSU global team. Sehely Zaman Nightangle, Director – Global Affairs was also present in the meeting.
From the UK alumni community, the meeting was attended by Mohammad Shafy, Dr Abdullah Faruq, Lamvah Sultana Meem, Muhammad Reaz Shams, Shehla Unaiza Hridi, Saima Rahman Tamanna, Md. Ismail Tushar, Md. Naser Mehdi Chowdhury, Nabila Mashnoon, Nahria Amin Nusrat, Toyeba Chowdhury Sharika, Oumit Hasan, Khairul Amin Hridoy, Md Khairul Bashar, Rahat Kahn, Akib Jabed, Kazi Rubiya Fatema (Plabon), Md Moin Ebne Kamal, and Afsara Tasnim Rifa.

✅ AANSU UK to Work Around Four Core Pillars
The UK chapter will organize its activities around four key pillars:
Connect - Build stronger connections among NSU alumni across the UK.
Support - Create a culture of mutual support, guidance and assistance among alumni.
Engage - Increase participation through events, networking and meaningful alumni activities.
Partner - Build partnerships with alumni, professionals, organizations and institutions for wider opportunities.
✅ Four Vice Presidents – Four Pillars
The proposed EC will have four Vice Presidents, with each Vice President taking ownership of one of the four pillars - Connect, Support, Engage and Partner.
✅ Four Advisers for Guidance & Balance
Four Advisers will provide guidance, oversight and support across the four pillars, stepping in where necessary to help maintain balance, coordination and effectiveness.
✅ Mohammad Shafy Appointed as Secretary
It was decided that Mohammad Shafy will serve as Secretary of AANSU UK. He will work directly with the President and coordinate implementation of plans and activities with the wider team.
✅ Full Executive Committee to Be Announced Soon
The complete AANSU UK Executive Committee will be finalized and officially circulated soon. Each member will be assigned a clear role and specific responsibility within the chapter structure.
✅ Post-Formation EC Gathering in London
Following the official announcement of the Executive Committee, an event will be organized at the AANSU UK President’s residence, bringing together all EC members along with senior NSU alumni based in London.
With AANSU USA, AANSU Canada, AANSU UK, AANSU Middle East, AANSU Australia, AANSU Asia, AANSU EU and AANSU Bangladesh (Central Coordination), AANSU has grown into a truly global alumni organization, with direct representation in nearly 25 countries worldwide, connecting NSUers across countries and continents under one global platform.
