✅ AANSU Australia Leadership Structure
It was decided that Shakib Ahmed will lead AANSU Australia as President, with Towhid Ahmed Khan as Secretary General. Indrilla Haque will serve as one of the Vice Presidents, together with three other Vice Presidents representing key regions of Australia.
✅ One AANSU Australia Umbrella
As part of the wider AANSU global structure, AANSU Australia will work to bring NSU alumni groups, communities and initiatives across Australia under one coordinated AANSU Australia umbrella.
✅ Connecting Existing Alumni Groups
The President has already begun communicating with alumni groups and individuals in Melbourne, Sydney and other major Australian cities, with the aim of building a more unified national network.
✅ Building on the AANSU Australia Legacy
The meeting also recognized that the first AANSU Australia initiative was started by AANSU alumni in 2014. Members of that earlier team are now in discussion with the new leadership to explore the way forward together, alongside other existing NSU alumni groups in Australia.
✅ National Representation
The proposed team is being developed with representation from major locations including Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and Tasmania, helping AANSU Australia develop as a genuinely national chapter.
✅ Roles & Organogram to Be Finalized
The proposed Executive Committee structure and individual responsibilities are being finalized, after which the official AANSU Australia Executive Committee will be circulated globally.
✅ Part of One Global AANSU
AANSU continues to operate as the guardian alumni umbrella connecting NSUers globally, now with 8 global chapters and direct representation in 31 countries - and continuously expanding.
The formation of a stronger AANSU Australia chapter represents another step toward bringing NSU alumni across continents into one connected, structured and collaborative global family.
