A Landmark Meeting for the Future of AANSU

The AANSU Central Committee convened a highly productive strategic meeting on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at the Auditorium of the residence of AANSU President Sazidul Islam in Gulshan, Dhaka. The meeting was held under the leadership of AANSU President, with the gracious presence of the Honourable Vice Chancellor of North South University, Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Ph.D. alongside members of the AANSU Central Committee.

Several important strategic decisions were taken during the meeting:

✅ Global Coordination Meeting at NSU:
A comprehensive meeting involving the AANSU Central Committee, all AANSU committees across Bangladesh, AANSU Global Country Chapters, and the University authorities will be organized at North South University very soon.

✅ Strengthening the Global AANSU Network:
The Honourable Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of stronger coordination among AANSU, all AANSU Global Country Chapters, and alumni clusters worldwide to build a more connected, collaborative, and impactful global alumni network.

✅ Formation of an Official NSU Alumni Club:
The Vice Chancellor encouraged the formation of an official alumni club under AANSU and assured the University's full support in initiating and implementing this important initiative.

✅ A Major Alumni Reunion at NSU:
Plans are underway to organize a large-scale alumni reunion at the NSU campus. The Honourable Vice Chancellor also shared valuable guidance regarding the proposed venue within the University premises for this flagship event.

✅ A New Functional Structure for the AANSU Central Committee:
To enhance efficiency, accountability, and organizational excellence, the Central Committee approved the creation of 10 functional divisions, each to be led by a Vice President. All 81 Central Committee members will be allocated across these ten functional divisions based on their expertise and interests, working as dedicated teams under their respective Vice Presidents to ensure effective coordination, focused leadership, and successful execution of AANSU's strategic initiatives.

✅ Expansion & Strengthening of AANSU Across Bangladesh:
AANSU will soon begin restructuring and strengthening its existing Bangladesh-based committees, including school-based committees and all other existing local committees (such as AANSU Bureaucrats, AANSU Chittagong, AANSU MBA/EMBA etc).
New regional committees-including Khulna, Sylhet, North Bengal, and others-will soon be formed to further expand AANSU's nationwide presence.

The AANSU Central Committee expresses its sincere gratitude to the Honourable Vice Chancellor for his continued guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support for the alumni community. The Committee also reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the University and AANSU's global chapters to build a stronger, more connected, and future-ready alumni network.

The future of AANSU is brighter than ever-and this is only the beginning.
